IN REMEMBRANCE

This site is dedicated to the memory of my Baby Brother, Beryl (21 April - 22 April 1918) and my Big Brother, Vic

(13 November 1926 - 13 January 2011).

Take a trip back in time and visit the  family photos of Allen Thomson (Thomson/Stowell) and his wife, Almira Ross, (Ross/Taylor) and  Otto Serviss (Serviss/Hollenbeck).  Or be taken to a list of the artists who have illustrated A Child’s Garden of Verses, one of my favorite books.  You will enjoy the color and whimsey of the vintage postcards saved by my parents.   Spend some time reading my Uncle Harvey Serviss’ story of his work with the telephone company in the 1930’s as told through his snapshots.

I hope you will email me your comments and early Thomson/Stowell, Ross/Taylor, Serviss/Hollenbeck photographs.  Also, please send your “Garden of Verses” illustrators.

I would like to thank the Trainers at the Chestnut Hill Apple Store (outside Boston) for patiently walking me through this process, Album by Album,  page by page, mistake by mistake; and especially Lee who was the one who thought I could do this in the first place and my husband, Leo, who never fails to encourage me.

                                                                 ( Dorothy Serviss Johnson)
